The means adopted by the Mission to protect the interests of Qatari nationals in the country of residence

The Embassy has a 24-hour hotline though which to receive calls and inquiries from the Qatari citizens in the Russian Federation in order to provide them with the required help.The following are some of the Mission's services:

• Protecting and caring for the interests of the Qatari citizens and following up these interests in coordination with the Consular Affairs Department at home and with the concerned authorities in the country of residence. 
• Providing guidance and advice to visiting citizens on all issues and procedures to be taken while in the territory of the country of residence.
• Providing assistance to residents or visitors in the event of natural disasters or any emergency that threatens their lives, security and safety and facilities and ensure their safe home return or passage to other countries in constant coordination with the authorities of the country of residence, the Head of Mission and the Department of Consular Affairs at home, and informing them about all actions taken in this regard.
• Providing commercial and legal advice and all other information to citizens wishing to enter into commercial transactions or practice business in the country of residence.
• Providing emergency assistance in cases of hospitalization of Qatari citizens, and following up their health conditions.
• Assisting the citizens in the event of facing arrest (for interrogation or otherwise) or court criminal judgedments in the country of residence, in coordination with the Consular Affairs Department at home and the authorities of the country of residence.
• Providing advice and information on vehicles shipment and use in the country of residence.
• Receiving and following-up services of process and and requests of citizens for legal representation in cases against foreign parties in the country of residence.
• Receiving and conveying to the Department of Consular Affairs and competent authorities in Qatar the services of process and requests issued abroad for representation in cases against Qatari citizens.
• Issuaning passports to citizens in the country of residence.
• Issuing transit tickets for Qatari nationals in the event of loss of their passports and giving birth while they are in the territory of the country of residence.
• Issuaning "to whom it may concern" certificates.
• Issuing (public and private) representation certificates for Qatari citizens.
•  Transporting the bodies of Qatari citizens who die outside the home country.
