HH the Amir Sends Written Message to Russian President

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a written message to HE President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, pertaining to the relations between the two friendly countries and means to support and strengthen these relations.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed binAbdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani delivered the message Thursday during a meeting with HE Russian Presidnet at the Krimlin.
At the outset of the meeting, HE President Putin welcomed HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, entrusting His Excellency with his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing His Highness good health and happiness and lauding the relations between His Excellency and HH the Amir, as well as the relations between the two friendly countries.
HE Russian President also expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries in light of the common interest of the leaders of both countries, especially in the trade and investment fields.
For his part, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE President of the Russian Federation and His Highness' wishes of good health and happiness for him. His Excellency also expressed his thanks to President Putin for the warm reception, underlining the outstanding relations that bind the two countries, especially cooperation in important areas including energy, food security and economic relations, which contribute to expanding the areas of partnership and friendship in various fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed joint cooperation relations and ways to develop them at various levels, and discussed the latest developments in Syria, the Iranian nuclear file, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and ways to resolve it peacefully, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
